Brewery Clock
The Story of Honest Craftsmanship from the Orlické Mountains
When you hear “Clock,” the uninitiated might think of a clock. But beer lovers prick up their ears—for them, it means a flavor that goes beyond the usual range of beer experiences. The Clock craft brewery, based in Potštejn, is one of the most striking examples of modern beer culture in the Orlické Mountains. It was born out of enthusiasm, fearlessness, and a desire to do things differently. With respect for tradition, but with a clear vision of modern brewing.
A story with many chapters
The history of Clock Brewery began in 2012, when the company was founded and purchased the building of a former brewery in Potštejn, where it started production in 2014 after a demanding reconstruction. In 2021, production was expanded into the building of the former Fenetra factory. And because time is crucial in beer brewing, the name “Clock” was more than symbolic. Since then, not only has beer been maturing here, but also the reputation of one of the best craft breweries in the Czech Republic.
A taste that goes beyond style
Clock is known for its originality. It offers a broad portfolio of top-fermented beers—from light ales through IPAs to stouts and seasonal specials. The foundation is quality ingredients, a feel for combinations, and openness to experimentation. The brewery prides itself on freshness and a bold flavor profile that often pushes the boundaries of what we usually imagine under the term “Czech beer.” Popular mainstays like Twist or Clock 12° have won fans not only at home but also on the international scene. On top of that, limited batches and specials are regularly added, delighting collectors and connoisseurs alike.
More than just a brewery
Clock isn’t just a place where beer is made, but also a cultural landmark on the map of the Orlické Mountains. In the brewery complex you’ll find a stylish pub and bottle shop, where you can taste freshly poured and perfectly cared-for beer, have something from the menu to go with it, or simply sit out on the terrace. But Clock doesn’t stop at beer—on the website you’ll find up-to-date information about events the brewery either organizes itself or takes part in. Especially during the summer, there’s plenty to choose from! You shouldn’t miss the now traditional Clock Days brewery festival, held right on the brewery grounds in the former Fenetra building.
Beer with the soul of the Orlické Mountains
What makes Clock exceptional is the combination of honest craftsmanship and the courage to be different. In every sip you feel not only the hops, but also the free and unmistakable spirit of the region. The brewery isn’t afraid to speak up, but it does so in its own voice. Thanks to its striking graphics, you’ll remember it at first sight.
Whether you’re a beer fan or just a curious wanderer through the Orlické Mountains, Clock is a place you’ll enjoy.
